Résumé

La séparation liée à l’hospitalisation du nouveau-né et les angoisses sur son état de santé peuvent affecter le comportement de caregiving, système de comportement parental réciproque au système d’attachement chez l’enfant. L’objectif du « cordon numérique » est de soutenir la création du lien en permettant au parent et à la famille d’accéder à des vidéos du nouveau-né, des « morceaux choisis » enregistrés à des moments privilégiés, et de les aider à l’investir psychiquement. Si l’image ne peut remplacer la présence, cet outil contribue à mobiliser le caregiving de parents « empêchés ».

Abstract

Separation related to the newborn’s hospitalization and anxiety about his state of health can affect parent’s caregiving behavior, which is the reciprocal parental system to child attachment system. The objective of the “digital cord” is to support the creation of the bond by allowing the parents and the family to access some video clips of the newborn recorded at carefully chosen moments in order to help them to involve psychically with the newborn. Although images cannot replace presence, this tool helps to mobilize the caregiving of absent parents.
